Crema was the set of the film "Call me by your name", nominated for four Academy Awards, a film by Luca Guadagnino. Upon entering the historic center of Crema, we stop at the Sanctuary of Santa Maria delle Grazie, inside which the most sublime example of Baroque Cremasca painting triumphs with frescoes by Barbelli. A few steps away are the Palazzo Patrini Premoli Pozzali, with a grandiose portal surmounted by a balcony, and the Palazzo Vimercati Sanseverino overlooking Via Benzoni. Here we are at the first of the places in the film, along this street in fact several scenes of “Call me by your name” were shot. Along Via Marazzo there is also the San Domenico Theater, housed in a former Dominican monastery. A little further on we cannot miss Palazzo Benzoni Donati also known as Palazzo dell’Innominato for having been the home of the famous Manzoni's character. Once in Piazza Duomo, the "heart" of the city, here are concentrated several buildings of great interest.
